Profiles of the main secondary characters, in alphabetical order

These character profiles are far from being exhaustive, but they do contain some spoilers for the manga series, so read them at your own risk! Note: All names have their official spelling according to the Chrno Crusade Super Guide.

Apostles (besides Azmaria and Joshua): 5 children with special powers, taken from the Astral Line. They have different ethnic backgrounds, and they seem to be from different countries as well. They were kidnapped by Aion’s followers, and were forced by him to “call” the Astral lines at the Oratorio (a room inside Eden, the Sinner's fortress), but they were rescued by Chrno and Rosette. They are very wise, but the many hardships they’ve endured have made them a little wary of the future.

Duffau: A powerful, high-ranking demon, leader of the Pursuers. He has been tracking the Sinners for a long time, and seems to have a personal grudge against Aion, their leader.

Edward Hamilton (the Elder): A scientist of the Magdalan Order, in charge of weapons development. He's 149 cm tall and weights 42 kg. Though he's a perverted old man and a real annoyance for all the girls at the convent, he's also a very capable inventor. He loves teasing Rosette, but deep down he really cares about her and Chrno and helps them whenever he’s able to do it. He was like a father to Magdalene, and doesn't want Chrno to repeat the mistakes of the past.  

Elizabeth Grandberg: A girl about Rosette’s age, very serious and composed, but also very caring and protective. Elizabeth was Rosette’s first friend at the Magdalan Order, and used to protect her against the bullying of the rest of the girls. She was very distrustful of Chrno at first, but she accepted him after seeing how much Rosette and Chrno cared about each other.

Genai: A demon, one of the Sinners (Chrno’s former allies) that betrayed Pandaemonium. He is a sarcastic, cruel person who despises humans and has a big resentment towards Chrno because of Rizel, who he had feelings for. He is blind, but that doesn’t seem to affect him in the least.  

Guilliam: A first-class militia and a close friend of Remington. He has a lot of physical strength and has a partner named Grace. Though he appears to be very serious and reserved, he tries to help Rosette and Chrno whenever he's able to.

Kate Valentine: The headmistress of the NY branch of the Magdalan Order. Though she appears to be older, she's only 29 years old. Her height is 168 cm and her weight is 50 kg. She is a first-class militia and is a rather strong and capable woman, but she frequently loses her patience with Rosette, who is a real source of trouble for her. Despite this, she sincerely cares about her and doesn’t stand the idea of Rosette wasting her life because of the contract she made. Sister Kate is very distrustful of Chrno, but she knows how much he cares for Rosette, so she tries to be tolerant with him.

Lerajie: A Pursuer who fought against Chrno a long time ago. He has a very strong resentment and hate towards Chrno, who nearly killed him and left him gravely injured. He used Ricardo Hendric as a means for his vengeance.

Mrs. Gene: A kind and motherly woman, who took care of the orphans at the Seventh Bell Orphanage. She sincerely cared about Rosette and Joshua, but was turned into stone by him when Joshua lost his mind.

Orphans: Seira, Billy, Kevin and Nelly (among others) were Rosette’s friends at the Seventh Bell Orphanage, in Michigan. Rosette’s personality had a great influence on them. The girls admired her (specially Nelly, who idolized Rosette), but the boys were afraid of her bad temper, though they also cared about her (Billy even had a small crush on Rosette). The children were a little cautious around Joshua, who was constantly sick and generally felt like a burden for the rest of them. They were turned into stone 4 years ago, when Joshua lost his mind and used Chrno’s horns to “freeze” everything around him.

Pandaemonium: The demon queen, mother of all demons. Her will was absolute in the demon society, so Aion killed her to gain his "true liberty", and kept her head in order to extract her memories and find a way to defeat his enemies.

Ricardo Hendric: Azmaria’s foster father, a demon tamer who wanted to use her supernatural powers to revive his dead wife. He used Relajie as his servant, without noticing that he was the one being used by him.

Rizel: A female demon, one of the Sinners (Chrno’s former allies) that betrayed Pandaemonium. She is fiercely loyal to Aion, and will do anything in her hands to please him, even sacrificing herself. Her lower body resembles a giant spider and she manipulates people using invisible silk threads. She despises humans (specially Joshua) and hates Chrno for the pain he caused Aion with his desertion.

Shader: A female demon, one of the Sinners (Chrno’s former allies) that betrayed Pandaemonium. She is a very capable scientist, and she was the one who created the pocketwatch that seals Chrno’s powers. She loves kids and is a very cheerful and caring person, but despite this, she is very loyal to Aion. Though she doesn’t like the methods he uses to reach his goals, she sincerely believes in Aion's dream and obeys him nevertheless.  She was a good friend of Magdalene and has a soft spot for Chrno. She doesn’t like to see him suffer, however, her strong loyalty towards Aion does not allow her to help him.

Steiner: Satella's butler. He is very devoted to his job, and he is like a surrogate father for her. He only wants the best for Satella, and wants to see her happy, so he quietly supports her the best way he can.

Viede: A demon, one of the Sinners (Chrno’s former allies) that betrayed Pandaemonium. He is very loyal to Aion, but doesn’t really seem to keep a strong resentment towards Chrno. He likes to read and play chess, and is very quiet and introverted. He is mostly a peaceful person who hates unnecessary fights, yet he can be a very strong opponent.
